Play, Grow, Succeed through Rugby.

At the Rugby School Project, we believe that team sports are more than just physical activities. They are formative experiences that provide children and teens with valuable skills for their overall development.

Our mission is to offer a path to education and success for kids living in Caracas, Venezuela.

We foster personal growth, build supportive communities, and inspire future leaders through the game of Rugby.

Creating Opportunities

Who we are

We are a Rugby school that promotes a safe space for development, growth and education for children and young people living in the Petare district of Caracas, Venezuela.

Building a Supportive Community

What we do

Players learn the values that rugby represents and can put those values into practice in their own lives. These values are discipline, commitment, respect, and leadership.

We seek to not only teach kids rugby, but also instill the values that come with training as part of a team.

Inspiring Future Leaders

Our program

The school provides events on a regular basis with weekly training sessions for teens and one Super Saturday a month for children & teens. The weekly training sessions for our 35 teenagers ages 14-17, including homework support. We have over 100 players for our Super Saturday events.

Our Teams

We have built rugby teams for different age groups, where players have the opportunity to strengthen the values that this sport represents and can put them into direct practice in their lives.

We have 5 teams: Mini Tag Rugby - Touch Rugby - Boys U14 - Girls U17 - Boys U18.

Personal Growth
Rugby teaches discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values crucial for a child's overall development. By participating in rugby, children learn to face challenges, overcome obstacles, and grow both on and off the field.

Inspiring Future Leaders
Rugby is about developing leadership skills. Our program helps young players become leaders by teaching them to take initiative, make decisions, and inspire their teammates.

Why Rugby?

Creating Opportunities
Your support provides the necessary resources for young players to participate in the Rugby School Project. This includes access to training, equipment, and competitive opportunities essential for their physical and mental development.

Building a Supportive Community
Sponsorship helps build a network of individuals who care about the players' progress and success. This sense of belonging and support can have a profound impact on their self-esteem and motivation.

Where We Are

Our kids live in Petare. It is a densely populated urban district located in the northeast section of Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela.

Home to 500,000 people in what is considered one of the largest neighborhoods in Latin America. Petare suffers from high rates of food and housing insecurity.

An estimated 25% of the population is between 5 and 19 years of age.

Our training field is located inside Metropolitan University, separated from Petare by a 4-lane highway. Our field overlooks the northern section of the Petare neighborhood.
